Over the past decade, Anita has earned a reputation as a leading attorney and powerhouse negotiator in the field of entertainment law. She is well known for being a passionate advocate for her clients. Anita began her career working on multi-million dollar entertainment finance deals at one of the world’s top law firms in New York. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, she eventually set out on her own and successfully built her own firm, where each attorney is also a creative who possesses an in-depth, hands-on understanding of all facets of the business.
Outside of the legal arena, Anita has garnered acclaim as a producer. As a graduate of the prestigious Canadian Film Center’s Producer’s Lab, she produced the award- winning indie film, Stag, which premiered at the LA Comedy Fest where it won “Best Ensemble” and the “Award of Excellence”. Other producing credits include The Conversation, an online interactive companion piece to Sarah Polley's film Take This Waltz. In 2010, Anita produced the short film Champagne, which premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival and was selected to screen at numerous festivals, including the 2011 Newport Beach International Film Festival and the Vladivostok International Film Festival in Russia. In 2012 Anita was invited to attend the Rotterdam International Film Festival’s Producer’s Lab and the Toronto International Film Festival’s Producer’s Lab. In 2014 she participated in the Producer’s Network at the Cannes International Film Festival. At present, she is practicing entertainment law full-time and also acting as an Executive Producer on various film, TV and digital projects.
